Checking the Firmware Version

  1. Press the [OK] button to stop recording video.
    (Check that "PWR" status LED indicator changes from "Blinking" to "Lighting" after stopping the video recording.)
  2. Press and hold the [Wireless Link] button for 3 seconds to enter the Pairing Mode of Wireless Link.
    (Electronic chime continuously sounds during the Pairing Mode of Wireless Link.)
  3. Open "KENWOOD DASH CAM MANAGER" app on your smartphone and touch [Connect] on "KENWOOD DASH CAM MANAGER" app.
  4. After the connection with "KENWOOD DASH CAM MANAGER" app, touch [Dash Cam Info] to "Dash Cam Information" appears.
  5. Check the version.

Creating the Update Media

  1. Download the Updates from the Web site.
  2. Decompress the downloaded file.
  3. Copy the decompressed file to the top of hierarchy in microSD card.

Updating the Program

Precautions

  • Do not turn off the power of the device, start the engine of the vehicle, or remove the SD card during the update.
  1. Turn off the power of device by turning off the ignition of the vehicle.
  2. Insert the SD card in the device.
  3. Turn on the power of device by turning on the ignition of the vehicle.
    The device will automatically start firmware update after ”Harp Sound " sounds.
    ("PWR" status LED indicator will be blinking during the firmware update.)
  4. When the firmware update has been finished, the device will restart automatically.
    ("PWR" status LED indicator stops blinking and "Harp Sound " sounds after the firmware update has been finished.)
