    KENWOOD announces MPT-1327 Option for NEXEDGE© Portables and Mobiles

    MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO (Communications) -- July 5, 2012 - KENWOOD Electronics Canada Inc. is introducing an MPT1327 trunking protocol option for NEXEDGE NXSeries, digital and analog, portable and mobile two-way radios. This new option expands KENWOOD’s MPT capable product catalog to include both 180 Series and NXSeries radios

    KENWOOD currently serves numerous industries with TK- x180 PortableSeries MPT analog trunked portable and mobile two-way radios. The introduction of the MPT1327 option for NXSeries radios creates a stateoftheart dual mode platform for analog MPT1327 operations today and a transition to very narrow band NEXEDGE® digital tomorrow, allowing for seamless and economical migration from analog to digital operations. NX Series (with MPT option) can be programmed in MPT analog mode and NXDN® digital trunked & conventional modes for parallel operation.
     
     
    The NEXEDGE® platform provides multiple solutions in one system.  Systems are being installed across Canada providing digital linked multi-site networks for Government, Utility, Public Safety, and Specialized Mobile Radio networks.  The KENWOOD NEXEDGE® two-way radios operate in 25/12.5/6.25kHz analog, digital, and analog/digital, allowing users to smoothly migrate from an existing analog system to a digital network seamlessly and economically.
