KENWOOD Corporation (President and CEO: Kazuo Shiohata; Head Office: Hachioji, Tokyo) announces that its  Digital Land Mobile Radio System supported for the G8 Hokkaido, Japan Summit (conference of major industrialized nations) between July 7 and 9, 2008 as a communication system for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

KENWOOD’s Digital Land Mobile Radio System used by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs included the NEXEDGE™ series of Digital Land Mobile Radio products, newly developed for the Business & Industry market in North America and launched in December 2007.

With the convenience and reliability of the NEXEDGE™ series excelling during the G8-summit, KENWOOD will further enhance the Land Mobile Radio business and implement medium- to long-term growth strategies for this new digital technology.
