Announcement of Organizational and Personnel Changes Effective May 1, 2005

KENWOOD will accelerate its "new leap forward" growth strategy and leverage its corporate operation of personnel and labor measures through the division of its Personnel Department into the Human Resources Management Department and the Labor Welfare Department.



KENWOOD Corporation (President & CEO: Haruo Kawahara; Head Office: Hachioji, Tokyo) is pleased to announce the implementation of the following organizational and personnel changes effective May 1, 2005.

1.  Purpose of Organizational Change Taking Effect on May 1, 2005

Currently the KENWOOD Group is implementing the "Excellent KENWOOD Plan," a med-term business plan formulated in May 2003, aiming to a "new leap forward." In line with such operations to further enhance consolidated business operations and revise corporate human resources and labor welfare related issues, an organizational change suitable for the new era growth strategy is implemented to realize prompt application of labor measures and group-wide human resources operations.

2.  Principal Organizational Changes

Division of Personnel Department (Level 2 Unit) into the Human Resources Management Department and Labor Welfare Department
The former Personnel Department is divided into two divisions: the Human Resources Department in charge of planning/implementation, review and management of human resources related corporate systems, and the Labor Welfare Department in charge of applications and revisions, etc. of labor related corporate regulations and systems.


3.  Changes in Executive Officers' Posts

The following executive officer's duties are altered in accordance with above organizational change.
