| Overview |
| KENWOOD Corporation (President and CEO: Haruo Kawahara; Head Office: Hachioji,
Tokyo) would like to announce its sale in Japan from the end of June of its HD20GA7
Digital Hard Disk (hereafter “HDD”) Audio Player, which is the first
in the world to include a digital amplifier for high definition playback, and
can connect to its ES-A5MD Micro Hi-Fi System. |

to match the rise of “Digital Media” |
In the current home electronics market, the revolution in music media has
led to the rise of “Digital Media” such as flash memory and HDD,
which is rapidly growing on a continual basis centered on the field of portable
audio.
KENWOOD has seen the spread of this new type of media as a business opportunity,
and starting with its introduction of the M512A3 and M256A3 flash memory players
to Japan market in February 2005, has now reached the milestone of introducing
the HD20GA7 digital HDD audio player. |

| Product Overview – An exclusive KENWOOD-styled
fusion of high quality audio performance and system components |
The HD20GA7 includes the first digital amplifier to be used in a product
of its class, with all production supervised by Sound Meister (sound quality
master technicians), in order to achieve the high quality audio performance that
KENWOOD requires as a manufacturer specializing in audio devices.
Also, by connecting it to the ES-A5MD Micro Hi-Fi system (requires
the special PNC-150 digital audio network cable sold separately), you can even
play back songs at home that you have recorded on your HD20GA7 with the sound
quality and sense of scale that the Micro System provides, and it includes an “HDD
Control” feature for easy operation. Together, KENWOOD has assembled
a system that befits its standing in the home audio and portable audio fields.
What is more, the HD20GA7 features a key layout that allows all
the settings from sound adjustment to search and playback to be controlled with
one hand, which is made possible by implementing a simple GUI (graphic user interface)
resembling that of a mobile phone, which can be easily operated interactively.
The
HD20GA7 also excels in design, with a stylish main unit featuring a 2.2 inch
QVGA color liquid crystal screen so that you can send any still image you like
to the player, and display it on the playback screen as a CD jacket.
In the future,
KENWOOD intends to fulfill its role as the only manufacturer specializing in
audio devices that covers the three fields of home electronics, car electronics
and communications equipment (wireless devices), and will make even greater efforts
to develop new products and cultivate new frontiers in “Sound
