KENWOOD Radio Host Program
ARHP-10 Version 1.00
About this software

This software is the "KENWOOD NETWORK COMMAND SYSTEM" host application.
This software is used to connect a PC on a network that is running Kenwood's ARCP-480 software, with the TS-480 amateur transceiver.
If you do not agree with the details listed herein, please do not download the ARHP-10 software.

Operating Environment

1. Operating Systems
Windows(R) 98, Windows(R) Me, Windows(R) 2000 (SP3 or later), or Windows(R) XP (SP1 or later)

Note:

Please use Windows(R) 2000 (SP3 or later), or Windows(R) XP (SP1 or later) operating systems when using the "KENWOOD NETWORK COMMAND SYSTEM" for voice transmission.
2. Processor
The recommended CPU or better for each OS.
Pentium(R) II or better is recommended.
3. System Memory (RAM)
At least the recommended system memory for each OS.
4. Hard Disk Free Space
At least 2MB free space on the hard disk.

Note:

Hard disk space required to keep log file records is also required.
5. Peripheral Devices
A display with at least 640 x 480 resolution (Number of colors: High Color or better is recommended).
A keyboard and a mouse, or other pointing device.
RS232C interface.
Network functions.
A network environment that can be connected (a high speed connection such as ADSL is recommended when connecting to the Internet).
Sound functions (Sound Blaster(R) 16 or better).
Sound cable (refer to the ARHP-10 help documentation).

Note:

Networking functions and a network that can be connected are required when using the "KENWOOD NETWORK COMMAND SYSTEM".
When using the "KENWOOD NETWORK COMMAND SYSTEM", it is recommended that the transceiver's TOT (time-out timer) function is used to specify a limit for continuous transmission time.
(The TOT timeout function can not be changed on the ARCP-480)
By turning ON the function that TX Inhibit in the TS-480, the ARCP-480 is not able to transmit.
(The function prohibiting transmission can not be cancelled on the ARCP-480)
A global IP address is required when using the "KENWOOD NETWORK COMMAND SYSTEM" over the Internet.Additionally, a name using a dynamic DNS can also be used.
The network environment (including the Internet provider), may prevent correct connection to the network. It may be possible to carry out communications after changing the configuration of network communications equipment or PCs. If security software and routers are used on the network, then it is necessary for both host and remote stations to broadcast the TCP ports that will be used for transmitting wireless commands. Additionally, voice transmission using the H.323 protocol can be used by opening all control ports and ports required for dynamic streaming. Please refer to the network communications equipment and PC user manuals for details on how to change their configuration, and take responsibility for configuring the network.
