KENWOOD Radio Control Program
ARCP-2000 Version 1.20

The ARCP-2000 radio control program has been updated to Ver.1.20. We are offering the latest version as a download (see below) to purchasers of the ARCP-2000.
 
Notes:
When you run this software for the first time, you must enter the license number (CD key) which comes with the ARCP-2000 retail package.
The license number will not be re-issued if it is lost or misplaced. Be sure to keep it in a safe place.
The latest version includes all previous updates.
 
Operating Environment
1. Operating System (OS)
Windows® XP (Service Pack 3 or later) (32-bit)
Windows Vista® (Service Pack 2 or later) (32-bit or 64-bit)
Windows® 7 (RTM or later) (32-bit or 64-bit)
Notes:
This software is designed to run on the above operating systems.
This software also runs on Windows® 8.1, Windows® 10, and Windows® 11. (Noted on June 23, 2022)
Applicable operating systems are subject to change without notice due to the end of the technical support by Microsoft Corporation or change of the product specifications.
2. Processor
Faster than the recommended CPU for each OS.
3. System Memory (RAM)
Larger than the recommended System Memory for each OS.
4. Free Hard Drive Space
100MB or more of free hard drive space.
5. Peripheral Devices
A display with resolutions higher than SVGA (800 x 600).
A keyboard and a mouse, or other pointing devices.
RS-232C interface.
An RS-232C straight cable with a 9-pin D-SUB female connector for the transceiver's COM port.
(When the PC has no RS-232C port, then use a USB-to-serial adapter.)
 
Usage Notes
 
If you are remotely controlling the Transceiver using this software via a network such as the Internet, you must conform to the radio laws and relevant domestic laws of the country and/or area where the Transceiver and relevant equipment are installed.
If any problem occurs while you are remotely controlling the Transceiver and relevant equipment, the responsibility of finding a solution to the problem is left solely to the user who remotely control the Transceiver and relevant equipment.
Users are prohibited to assign, rent, lease, redistribute, or resell the software.
Users are prohibited to revise, change, translate, merge, de-compile, or reverse engineer the software.
JVCKENWOOD Corporation does not warrant that quality and functions of this software comply with each user's purpose of use of this software, and unless specifically described in this document, JVCKENWOOD Corporation shall be free from any responsibilities to any defects and indemnities to any damages or losses. Selection and installation of this software shall be made by the User's designation. The User shall take for the use and effects of this Software.
JVCKENWOOD Corporation shall be free from any responsibilities for any incidental losses or damages, such as missing communications or a calling opportunity caused by a failure or performance error of this Software.
JVCKENWOOD Corporation shall own all copyrights and other intellectual properties for the software and all manuals and documents attached to the software. The user shall be allowed to use, not to resell, the software by obtaining a license from JVCKENWOOD Corporation. While the media in which the software is stored is possessed by the user, the ownership for the software itself shall be reserved for JVCKENWOOD Corporation.
 
Installing the ARCP-2000
  Extract the downloaded file "ARCP2000_120.zip" into a designated folder.
In the designated folder, a folder labeled "ARCP2000_120" will be created.
Execute the "Setup.exe" in the folder labeled "ARC2000_120", and follow the instructions that appear on the display to install the software.

Note:
Administrator privileges are required when installing the software.
To update ARCP-2000, execute the same procedure as used for installation, and follow the instructions that appear on the display to install the software. The latest update is written and installed over the currently installed program.
 
Uninstalling the ARCP-2000
  Select "ARCP-2000" in "Uninstall a program" in the Control Panel and follow the instructions that appear on the display to uninstall the software. Or double-click "Setup.exe", and follow the instructions that appear on the display to uninstall the software.

Note:
Administrative privileges are required to uninstall the software.
Always exit ARCP-2000 before uninstalling the software.
Uninstalling the software removes the license number (CD key) data from the registry. When you reinstall the software, you must enter the license number again.
