On December 16, 2004, KENWOOD Corporation (President&CEO: Haruo Kawahara; Head office: Hachioji, Tokyo) reorganized its operations and reassigned some personnel to facilitate the implementation of the current fiscal year's basic policy: "enhancement of competitiveness and promotion of a growth strategy towards a new leap forward." 1. Objectives of organizational changes and personnel transfers on December 16, 2004 Establishment of Business Development Operation KENWOOD separated the business development functions, such as strategic alliance activities that will be an important part of the future growth strategy, from the Corporate Planning Office, the Strategic Business Planning Division. The Company newly established the Business Development Operation under the direct control of the CEO. With this new configuration, the Company will be able to strongly promote its business development functions. 2. Change in executive officer duties With the establishment of the Business Development Operation, the Company changed the executive officers' assignment on December 16.
